Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has accused AIADMK General Secretary E. Palaniswamy of spreading misinformation. In a letter to DMK cadres, Stalin stated, “E. Palaniswamy is peddling false propaganda across the state.” The Chief Minister also claimed that the AIADMK ignored the interests of Tamil Nadu by allying with the BJP and expressed confidence that the DMK would return to power. The communication to party workers also touched upon what Stalin described as a four-year struggle against the Union government to protect the state’s powers. He mentioned that in non-BJP ruled states, the governor often seems to represent the BJP government, an issue the DMK has legally contested.
