India and Sri Lanka signed four key agreements, including ramping up energy ties by establishing electricity grid connectivity and multi-product petroleum pipeline in a collaboration with UAE. Most importantly, Dissanayake gave India a key security assurance that Sri Lanka’s territory will not be used for any activity that is detrimental to India, signaling that Colombo will not let China dock its vessels.
