SpiceJet Staff Assault: Army Officer Assaults SpiceJet Staff At Srinagar Over Baggage Dispute

A senior army officer, Lieutenant Colonel Ritesh Kumar Singh, assaulted four SpiceJet staff members at Srinagar airport on July 26. The dispute began over excess cabin baggage for a Delhi-bound flight. According to SpiceJet, the officer was carrying 16 kg of cabin baggage, exceeding the 7 kg limit. When asked to pay for the excess weight, he allegedly refused and became violent. The airline described the incident as a "murderous assault," stating its employees suffered severe injuries, including a spinal fracture and a serious jaw injury. The Jammu and Kashmir police have registered two FIRs, one against the army officer and another against a SpiceJet staff member, though no arrests have been made. The Indian Army has stated it is taking the allegations seriously and is committed to upholding the highest standards of discipline. #srinagarairport #spicejet #assault #itwebvideos #indianarmy #airrage #airportviolence #jammuandkashmir #fir #aviation #customerservice #india #currentaffairs #news #breakingnews #indiatoday
