Space hero Shubhanshu Shukla has returned to India after his visit to the International Space Station. He became the first Indian to set foot on the International Space Station during the Axiom 4 mission, returning to Earth on July 15. He was welcomed at Indira Gandhi International Airport by Minister Jitender Singh and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. His historic space sojourn will be discussed in Parliament on Monday. He is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participate in the National Space Day celebrations on August 22 and 23. His return comes as ISRO prepares for the Gaganyaan human space flight program. His experiences and research from the ISS will be used for India’s upcoming space program. "I am sure that Subhanshu Shukla’s journey to the International Space Station has inspired an entire generation to dream big."
