The incident occurred when the victim, accompanied by her aunt, visited a degree college seeking employment. Nawab Singh, a former close aide of Dimple Yadav, has been distanced by the Samajwadi Party. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and are proceeding with the investigation.
