Toys like Toniebox and Tiptoi Pen collect usage data, sometimes without secure encryption, raising serious concerns. Some toys even request unnecessary access to location and microphones via their apps. Experts warn that children’s data privacy needs stronger protection, urging manufacturers to prioritize security and parents to stay informed. The findings will be presented at the Annual Privacy Forum in September.
