A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the assault case of Colonel Pushpinder in Patiala. The SIT has reached Patiala to speak with the Colonel, who has sought deferment of appearance as the case is now before the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Colonel Pushpinder has requested the transfer of the probe to the CBI. The Indian Army has called for a fair and transparent investigation into the incident.
