Just weeks after the Signalgate scandal rocked the nascent Trump administration, a new report has emerged detailing another Signal chat where sensitive information was shared.
Unlike last time, this new Signal group was created by US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth himself.
According to a report by the New York Times, the group, called ‘Defence | Team Huddle’, did not include any cabinet members except Pete Hegseth.
The group reportedly included members from Hegseth’s inner circle, including his wife, his brother and his lawyer. His brother and lawyer aside, Hegseth’s wife does not have a Pentagon role.
Moreover, the report indicates that Hegseth accessed this Signal chat using a private phone.
