Shubhanshu Shukla's Homecoming: Indian Astronaut Prepares For Return After Historic ISS Mission

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is set to return to Earth after completing a landmark mission aboard the International Space Station. The undocking of the Dragon capsule is scheduled for 4:30 PM IST, with splashdown expected on July 15th off the California coast. Shukla reiterated Rakesh Sharma’s 1984 message, stating that ‘Even now in 2025, India is still sare jaha se achcha.’ The mission involved scientific experiments and outreach activities. The return journey will take approximately 22 hours, involving a complex automated process controlled from Houston, including capsule separation, controlled descent, and splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.
