Free education for male children and not just girls, lowered cost of living, and scrapping of the Dharavi redevelopment plan- these are some of the promises made by Shiv Sena UBT ahead of Maharashtra assembly polls.
The party chief, Uddhav Thackarey released the party manifesto today at his home, Matoshree, in Mumbai. Mr Thackarey said the promises being made in his party’s manifesto were in line with the alliance Mahavikas Aghadi, which includes Mr Thackarey’s Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP Sharadchandra Pawar. The MVA, which comprises the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), will also launch its manifesto for the November 20 state assembly polls, he said.
However, he pointed out that some of his promises were exclusive and would need special attention.
