The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has issued a lookout circular against actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. This action is in connection with a case of allegedly cheating a businessman of nearly 60 crore rupees. An FIR was registered at the Juhu police station on August 14th based on a complaint alleging the couple duped a Kanpur-based businessman in a loan-cum-investment deal for their now-defunct firm, Best TV private limited. The lookout circular was issued due to the couple’s frequent international travel, to prevent them from leaving the country. A speaker in the broadcast stated, "Lookout circular is generally issued by police or law enforcement agencies. So that the accused named in the case do not flee from the country."
