The Government of India is set to issue a commemorative 100 rupee coin to mark the inauguration of the new Prime Minister’s Office building, named Seva Teerth (also referred to as Sree Bharati). According to a Finance Ministry notification, the obverse side of the coin will feature the Ashoka Pillar Lion Capital in the centre with ‘Satyamev Jayate’ inscribed below it in Hindi. The words ‘Bharat’ in Devanagari and ‘India’ in English will appear on the left and right sides, respectively. The reverse side of the coin will showcase a picture of the Seva Teerth building, with its name inscribed in both Hindi and English. Additionally, the coin will feature the phrase ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’ in Devanagari and English, accompanied by a picture of a lotus flower. This development follows an official release detailing the design and significance of the new currency piece intended to celebrate the milestone of the new PMO facility.
