The Supreme Court on Monday issued a notice to the Centre and other concerned authorities on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking an independent, fair and time-bound probe into the June 12 Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Coming down strongly on the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s (AAIB) findings on the crash, the top court described the narrative of “pilot error” as “unfortunate” and sought responses from the Centre and others.
