The India national cricket team secured a narrow victory over the England national cricket team in a thrilling semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
India posted a massive record total of 253 runs, led by a brilliant 89-run knock by Sanju Samson. Ishan Kishan also played a quick cameo with 39 runs off just 18 balls, and the partnership between the two wicketkeeper-batters helped India dominate early.
Important contributions also came from Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube (43 runs), and Hardik Pandya (27 off 12 balls) to push India to a huge total.
England mounted a strong comeback with Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks forming a dangerous partnership that kept the chase alive till the final overs.
However, Jasprit Bumrah’s economical spell proved decisive, restricting England and helping India seal the win. Fans across the country celebrated as India moved one step closer to the World Cup trophy.
