Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the assembly regarding the Sambhal mosque dispute. He claimed that 67 pilgrimage sites and 19 wells have been traced and freed from encroachment. The Allahabad High Court has referred to the site as disputed. Hindu outfits assert that the Shahi Jama Masjid was built after demolishing the Harihar temple. The matter is pending in court after the Supreme Court put old surveys of disputed places of worship on hold.
