India has received a new supply of Igla-S missiles from Russia, boosting the air defense capabilities of the Indian Army. The Igla-S is a shoulder-fired, very short-range air defense system designed to neutralize low-flying aircraft. This procurement, worth approximately Rs. 260 crore, is part of the Emergency Procurement Powers granted by the Centre for the Forces.
