Reports indicate Russian drones have entered Poland’s airspace, prompting an immediate military response. Poland has activated its defense systems, and both Polish and NATO jets have been scrambled. According to reports, several of the Russian drones have been shot down within Polish airspace. In response to the intrusion, US F-35 fighter jets are also present in the skies over Poland. The situation has led to the closure of Poland’s Warsaw International Airport, which has been shut down because of what is being described as ‘unplanned military activity’. The airspace above the airport is closed, and authorities have activated military operations as a precautionary measure following reports of Russia intensifying its attacks towards Ukraine.
