Russia and Ukraine have carried out airstrikes that damaged each other’s infrastructure, just hours after Vladimir Putin claimed that Russia would cease targeting Ukrainian energy facilities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian attacks hit hospitals, accusing the Russian leader of effectively dismissing the possibility of a full ceasefire during his call with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Putin informed Trump that a complete ceasefire could only be achieved if Ukraine’s allies stopped providing military aid, a condition previously rejected by Ukraine’s European partners.
Officials from Russia’s Krasnodar region reported that a Ukrainian drone attack ignited a small fire at an oil depot.
