The Czech Republic is preparing to supply Ukraine with medium combat aircraft capable of countering drones, as Kyiv faces mounting pressure from sustained Russian strikes. President Petr Pavel said Czech-made L-159 fighter jets could be transferred soon, alongside possible early-warning radar systems.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that some air defence systems had recently run out of missiles during intense attacks on energy infrastructure, though fresh supplies arrived on Friday. The development comes as Ukraine pushes Western allies to accelerate military aid amid a critical phase of the war.
