Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov visited the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi to express solidarity with Iran following recent military attacks. Speaking exclusively to India Today, Alipov stated that Russia stands in full solidarity with the Iranian people and government. He confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his sympathies towards Iran. The ambassador described the attacks by the United States and Israel as an outrageous violation of international law and norms of morality, calling them unacceptable. Alipov urged both sides to stop attacks immediately and return to diplomatic negotiations. On the question of oil supplies, Alipov clarified that Russia remains ready to offer oil supplies to India, but emphasised that the decision rests with the Indian government. He noted that negotiations were proceeding when Iran was simultaneously attacked, and expressed hope that attacks would stop at the earliest.
