Ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to New Delhi on December 5, Russia’s State Duma has ratified the Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics (RELOS) agreement. This pact grants India and Russia reciprocal access to ports, airspace, and military logistics for joint exercises and humanitarian missions. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that discussions on the Su-57 Next Generation Fighter will be on the agenda, stating, ‘The issue of Su-57s certainly will be on the agenda during the coming visit.’ President Putin also emphasized Russia’s commitment to its ‘key partners, China and India.’ The visit occurs amidst geopolitical turbulence, with reports of Washington imposing tariffs on Indian goods and ongoing negotiations regarding a peace plan for Ukraine.
