The wreckage of a missing Antonov AN-24 plane has been found in Russia’s Far East. The twin-turbo prop passenger plane, carrying 47 people, including a reported five children and six crew members, went missing in the Amur region. Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations discovered the burning fuselage from the air during a search. The debris was located on a mountainside 15 km from Tinda, in a hilly area with dense forest which complicates access. An initial aerial survey of the crash site has provided a stark assessment. According to reports, "An aerial inspection has shown that there are no survivors." Sources have noted that a ground inspection is required for final confirmation, as the lush vegetation could obscure the scene.
