This development follows unprecedented scenes in the Lok Sabha, including disruptions during the budget session and demands for Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to be allowed to speak. Furthermore, reports suggest Speaker Om Birla may recuse himself from presiding over House proceedings on moral grounds following talks of a no-confidence motion.
