The Mumbai Police have made a 12th arrest in the investigation into the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence. The latest suspect, identified as Vishnu Pushwaha, was apprehended in Uttar Pradesh through a joint operation with local police. This follows the recent arrest of four other individuals, including the alleged shooter Deepak Sharma, who was tracked to Bahadurgarh, Haryana, using digital footprints and human intelligence. Investigations reveal that the shooter was allegedly paid 50,000 rupees for the attack, with promises of further payment. The case has established significant links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with one accused, Praveen Lonkar, already in custody for the Baba Siddique murder case. Six suspects were produced in court and remanded to police custody until 25 February. The police continue to probe the conspiracy and financial trails involving the gang’s network across multiple states, including Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
