She asserted that the DMK must follow alliance dharma and warned, "the Congress will not tolerate such disrespect." This has provided an opportunity for AIA-DMK chief EPS to attack the alliance, describing it as "unstable and opportunistic." He claimed that the Congress is demanding more seats and pushing for a coalition government in the upcoming polls. In response, Congress leaders have advised EPS to focus on his own party and not to interfere in the internal matters of the DMK-Congress alliance.
