Reuters X Account Blocked In India: Govt Seeks Explanation And Lifting Of Ban | India Today

Reuters’ X account has been blocked in India, reportedly due to a delayed response to Operation Sindhu time block requests. Government sources state no new ban demand has been made to X on this matter. The government has asked X to explain the blockade and lift it. Reuters allegedly ran Pakistan-China propaganda during Operation Sindoor. The action comes after India’s previous request to X regarding propaganda-based content from China and Pakistan. The government is seeking clarification on the late action and has requested the ban be lifted. Other X accounts, particularly those of Pakistan, were blocked earlier on government demand due to false information and anti-India sentiment related to Operation Sindoor.
