1. In Kuiyaan village, POK, Rizwan Hanif commander (JKUM) of LeT group faced severe backlash from locals and fled with his armed companions (bodyguards).
2. Residents plan to hold a public Jirga to collectively respond to terror recruitment and activities.
3. Habib Tahir (FT), killed by Indian forces at Harwan, Srinagar, was reportedly recruited and trained by LeT.
4. His family barred the terrorist group from attending his funeral in absentia (on July 30, 2025; 1600 hrs); however, Rizwan Hanif and armed bodyguards still showed up.
5. A confrontation broke out when Rizwan’s nephew (one among the bodyguards) allegedly threatened mourners with a gun, leading to public outrage and pursuit.
