Drawing from recent PHDCCI reports, he highlighted the nation’s resilience post-COVID, with GDP growth averaging 7-8% and inflation stabilizing at 4-4.5%, crediting government initiatives like increased capital expenditure and MSME reforms for driving this momentum.Dr. Mehta emphasized a five-pronged strategy to sustain this trajectory: ramping up infrastructure investments to $1.4 trillion by 2025, fostering innovation in green tech and EVs to meet Panchamrit goals, enhancing export potential in 75 high-value products across states, promoting inclusive growth via skill development for 400 million youth, and leveraging digital public infrastructure for seamless trade.
He spotlighted Uttar Pradesh’s ascent to a $1 trillion economy as a model, with its GSDP surging 15.7% annually, and urged industry leaders to collaborate on sustainability—echoing PHDCCI’s recent EV startups report that positions MSMEs as key to net-zero ambitions. "Bharat’s economy is not just growing; it’s transforming into a global powerhouse through ethical innovation and equitable policies," Dr. Mehta asserted, inspiring delegates amid panels on fintech and AI-driven manufacturing.
