Delhi police have arrested five Bangladeshi nationals who allegedly tried to forcibly enter the Red Fort premises. All five individuals, aged between 20 and 25, are reported to be illegal immigrants working as laborers in Delhi. This incident has raised significant national security questions, particularly with the approach of the 15th of August. Following the security lapse, seven police personnel deployed at the Red Fort have been suspended for negligence. The situation has also taken a political turn, with the BJP criticizing the TMC, stating that the party is "weaponizing language for votes." The arrested individuals are currently being interrogated by the Delhi Police after Bangladeshi documents were recovered from them.
