The investigation into the Delhi terror plot has intensified as police launch a multi-state manhunt for a third car, a Maruti Brezza, linked to the module led by Dr. Umar Un Nabi. This follows the recovery of a red Ford EcoSport in Faridabad used for transporting explosives and the Hyundai i20 that was detonated in the blast near Red Fort. According to reporter Shreya Chatterjee, ‘we fear that probably there was a plan to use multiple cars to divide into IEDs and carry out aerial blasts is why these cars become extremely crucial and object of suspicion.’ The joint operation involves police forces from Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, who are on high alert to trace the missing vehicle and other potential members of the terror cell.
