Red Alert In Delhi-NCR: Heavy Rains Cause Waterlogging, Flight Delays, And Uprooted Trees

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms hit Delhi NCR, causing widespread waterlogging and disrupting flight operations. The India Meteorological Department issued a red alert, later changed to orange. Over 40 flights were diverted and 100 expected to be delayed. Areas like Lajpat Nagar, RK Puram, Minto Road, and Dwarka experienced severe waterlogging. Gusty winds of 70-80 km/h uprooted trees in several locations.
