Rania Rao, step-daughter of Karnataka’s DGP, has admitted to smuggling gold. She was caught with 14 kg of gold at Bengaluru airport. Rao revealed travelling to 27 countries last year, including 30 trips to Dubai in 2024. She earned 12-14 lakh rupees per trip. The court will read out the custody order at 2:30 PM. Investigators are probing the larger syndicate behind this operation.
