The message, allegedly sent by a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, follows a recent shooting incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s house. While the sender claimed affiliation with the gang, authorities are investigating whether the threat is genuine or the work of a copycat impersonator. This incident marks a significant development as it is reportedly the first time the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued a direct extortion demand to a Bollywood actor, rather than just issuing threats or carrying out attacks. The police are currently tracing the origin of the audio note and investigating potential links to past incidents involving the gang, including the firing at Salman Khan’s residence and the killing of Baba Siddique. Security remains high as multiple teams probe the matter to determine if this signals a return to the protection money era of the 1990s.
