In this special report, Actor Ranveer Singh has issued an apology following backlash over his mimicry of Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ performance at the IFFI closing ceremony in Goa. The controversy erupted after Singh referred to the revered Daivas of Tulunadu as a ‘female ghost’ and enacted the sequence onstage. Addressing the criticism via Instagram, Singh stated, ‘My intention was to highlight Rishabh’s incredible performance in the movie and that he respects all cultures and traditions.’ The incident occurred just weeks before the release of his upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’.
