Ramadan 2026 is set to begin on February 19 after the Masjid-e-Nakhoda Markazi Rooyat-e-Hilal Committee in Kolkata officially confirmed the sighting of the Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1447 moon on February 18. With the crescent sighted, the first fast will be observed from Thursday, marking the start of the holy month for Muslims in the region.
