Kanpur Police have debunked rumors of stone-pelting by Muslim groups and have instead booked accused for spreading false information. Over 12 FIRs have been registered, involving more than 200 people. The police are taking action based on video evidence showing participants of the Shobha Yatra involved in vandalism and raising controversial slogans.
