Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar has rejected the Congress’ privilege motion against Home Minister Amit Shah. The motion, moved by Jairam Ramesh, was in response to Shah’s comments on the PM Relief Fund during a discussion on disaster management. Shah alleged that one family controlled the fund during the UPA government, which the Congress interpreted as targeting Sonia Gandhi. Dhankar ruled that Shah had substantiated his statements.
