India-Pakistan Ceasefire: Three terrorists are killed in a gunfight ongoing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district between security forces and Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists. A team from India arrived in New York to meet the UN 1267 sanctions committee over the Pahalgam terror attack where 26 people – mostly tourists – were killed. Following the attack, Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told an all-party meeting on May 8 that at least 100 hardcore terrorists and their associates were killed in Indian strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) under the ongoing Operation Sindoor.
