“Mahatma Gandhi focused so much on Khadi for a reason. He used Khadi to unite the Indian freedom movement and wore only Khadi himself. Khadi is not just cloth — it represents the people, creativity, emotions, and strength of India.
Every state of India has its own traditional fabrics: the Himachali cap, Assamese gamcha, Banarasi saree, Kanchipuram saree, Naga jacket, and many more. All these fabrics show the identity of the people.
If you look closely at a fabric, you will see thousands of tiny threads woven together. No thread is more important than the other. A single thread cannot protect or warm you, but when all the threads come together, they become a fabric that protects you.
Rahul Gandhi said our nation is also like a fabric made of 1.4 billion people. And this fabric is held together by the vote. Without voting, the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, state assemblies, and panchayats would not exist.”
