The BJP has launched a fresh attack on Rahul Gandhi after the Supreme Court questioned his remarks about 2,000 kilometers of Indian land being seized by China. The court, while hearing a defamation case against him, asked why such a claim was made to the media and not raised in Parliament. The bench remarked, "if you were a true Indian…You would not have made such commentary". While the court stayed the defamation proceedings, the BJP is terming Gandhi a "China guru" and a "diplomatic disaster". The comments in question were made by Rahul Gandhi during a press conference at the culmination of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, where he stated his information came from a delegation from Ladakh and ex-army officers.
