Rahul Gandhi in Bengaluru: Alleges '1 Crore Magic Voters' in Maharashtra, Questions Poll Panel's

In a speech at an event in Bengaluru, Rahul Gandhi raised significant questions about the Indian electoral process, alleging an attack on the Constitution by the BJP. He highlighted what he termed a suspicious result in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections, which the BJP won months after his coalition’s success in the Lok Sabha polls there. Gandhi claimed that one crore new voters, who hadn’t voted in the Lok Sabha election, participated in the state polls. "One crore new people who had not cast their vote in the Lok Sabha magically came out to vote in the Vidhan Sabha," he stated, alleging these votes went to the BJP. He further said that the Election Commission denied his party’s requests for a soft copy of the voter list and for videography of the polling process, and that a law was later changed to have video evidence destroyed after 45 days. Gandhi announced that his party has initiated its own analysis, starting with the Mahadevapura assembly segment in Bangalore Central.
