AAP MP Raghav Chadha tweeted that he raised Punjab’s biggest problem in Parliament—its fast-depleting groundwater and increasing water contamination. He said that Punjab’s rivers are shrinking, groundwater levels are falling, and dangerous metals like uranium are entering the water people use.
He quoted Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s words, “Pavan Guru, Paani Pita…” and said he spoke for the 3 crore people of Punjab.
Punjab, which once fed the whole nation during the Green Revolution, is now suffering the most from its after-effects.
He said this is not just Punjab’s problem anymore and the whole nation must support Punjab in this crisis.
