The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won Patiala in the municipal elections held in five municipal corporations – Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Amritsar and Phagwara. The AAP was leading in Ludhiana and Jalandhar, while the Congress was ahead in Phagwara and Amritsar.
