Pune Bridge Collapses: 2 Dead, 32 Injured, Rescue Operations Underway | India Today

An old bridge over the Indrani river in Pune has collapsed, resulting in two deaths and 32 injuries. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Patnaves reports that 15 to 20 people may have been swept away, with another 20 to 25 possibly trapped under debris. The bridge, which had been closed to vehicular traffic due to its dilapidated state, collapsed amid heavy rainfall and rising water levels. Rescue operations are ongoing, with local police, district administration, and NDRF teams deployed at the site.
