Pro-Palestine Protests Errupt Outside UN, Times Square Amid Netanyahu’s UNGA Address
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered near the United Nations headquarters in New York, marching through the streets with flags and banners demanding an end to U.S. aid to Israel and calling for a free Palestine. The demonstrations also spilled into Times Square, where crowds held signs and chanted against Israel’s continued offensive in Gaza. The speech sparked a dramatic moment as dozens of delegates from multiple nations staged a walkout in protest. Responding to countries recognizing Palestinian statehood, Netanyahu warned such moves would only encourage terrorism, further fueling a deeply divided global debate over the war in Gaza.
