Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, spoke at the India Today Conclave 2026 about the group’s transformation and future plans. He revealed the Adani Group is undergoing a major restructuring, reducing organizational layers from 10 to 6, to address decision-making delays as it scales up operations.
Karan Adani explained the group operates across three verticals: energy, ports and logistics, and materials and science. He acknowledged the group has faced scrutiny but emphasized their focus remains on building infrastructure for India. On his father Gautam Adani’s pledge of Rs 60,000 crore for social causes, Karan said the focus areas are healthcare, skill development, and education.
