The Election Commission of India has released the final voter list, which includes 7.42 crore voters after the deletion of 47 lakh names. In the chief ministerial race, RJD’s Tejasvi Yadav leads as the preferred candidate with 35.5% support, while incumbent Nitish Kumar’s popularity stands at 16%. Prashant Kishore’s support has increased to 23.1%. For the Prime Minister’s position, Narendra Modi leads, but Rahul Gandhi’s approval has risen to 40.9%, a 6% jump attributed to his ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’. The VoteWide survey indicates that unemployment and migration are the biggest issues for 38.4% of voters. A direct cash transfer of ₹10,000 faces implementation challenges. Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj party is perceived as a ‘vote cutter’ by 56.3% of respondents. Nearly 50% of those surveyed anticipate a negative impact from corruption allegations against the NDA.
