In a speech focusing on the North East, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s development agenda for the region, contrasting it with the alleged neglect by the previous Congress administration. It was mentioned that central ministers have visited the North East over 800 times. The Prime Minister, who claimed to have visited the region over 70 times, referred to the eight states as ‘Ashta Lakshmi’.
