PM Narendra Modi LIVE: PM Flags-Off Vande Bharat Trains From Bengaluru’s KSR Railway Station
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru, marking a significant boost to India’s high-speed rail network. The trains include the Bengaluru–Belagavi service, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar service, and Nagpur (Ajni)–Pune service, bringing the total number of Vande Bharat trains in India to 150. Karnataka now has 11 such trains, enhancing connectivity across the state and beyond. During his visit, PM Modi also inaugurated the 19.15 km Yellow Line of Bengaluru Metro from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra, built at a cost of approximately ₹5,056.99 crore, expanding the city’s metro network to over 96 km. He took a metro ride from RV Road to Electronic City, a key IT corridor, and laid the foundation stone for Bengaluru Metro Phase-3, a ₹15,611 crore project spanning 44.65 km with 31 elevated stations. Addressing a public gathering at 1 PM, PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming Bengaluru’s infrastructure and improving connectivity for millions of commuters. This event underscores India’s focus on modernizing urban and regional transport for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
