During his speech, he highlighted the transformative development in the North East, noting that while Congress built only three bridges over the Brahmaputra in seven decades, the BJP-led government has completed five in just ten years. The Prime Minister emphasized the region’s economic growth, mentioning that Assam is set to receive approximately ₹50,000 crore as its tax share this year. He also inaugurated a new emergency landing strip on the Moran highway, describing it as a symbol of a ‘New India’ capable of securing its borders and responding to enemies. Mr Modi criticized the Congress for its history of ‘appeasement politics’ and alleged corruption in defense deals, urging workers to strengthen every booth to ensure a ‘Maha-Vijay’ or great victory in the upcoming elections.
